5 Questions With Grand Forks Cleaning Company 701 Shine – Grand Forks Herald

GRAND FORKS — The Grand Forks Herald spoke with Brooke Flood, owner of 701 Shine, for 5 Questions this week.
Q: What inspired you to launch 701 Shine?
A: I enjoy cleaning and helping others. In fact, I’ve been a CNA for over 10 years, and it’s a rewarding job helping people, and I’ve cleaned up here and there in between. I just decided to go do it myself (and) help others in a different way.
Q: What kind of cleaning services do you offer?
A: I do occasional moves, moves in, daily schedules, weekly, really anything. I even help people get organized.
Q: Can you describe your cleaning process?
A: If it’s a split level house, I like to start upstairs and then work my way down. Otherwise, it’s usually the kitchen. So cooking usually takes the most time, so if I get rid of it, the rest is easy.
Q: How long can it take to complete a job?
A: It depends on the size of the house. (It’s) about three to four hours. It just depends on the size of the house and how much cleaning the person wants to do.
Q: What do you like about cleaning that others might not?
A: I love the satisfaction of change, seeing something totally disorganized and just a mess, and then when it’s all done, everything is perfect.
