Josephine “Dolly” Mostowski, 81, formerly of Wethersfield and more recently Manchester CT, passed away peacefully on Tuesday December 28, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Josephine “Jo-Ann” “Dolly” was born and raised in Quincy, MA, where she lived with her mother Jeannette, father James and brother Jimmy, and she has been predeceased by all. She was the most loving, strongest and most nurturing mom, sister, chick, aunt and friend of so many people. She worked very hard in her life as a waitress at Denny’s, and later as a successful business owner of the Consider-It-Clean cleaning service, and what she was most proud of, the disc service. Round Sounds jockey, both with her late husband, Chester. . Dolly was a true spitfire, full of zest for life and stamina for life. She had a passion for decorating the house which she shared with her daughter Laura. She was passionate about sports, watching the New England Patriots and UCONN Huskies men’s and women’s basketball. Dolly loved music and dancing. She took great pleasure in scratching her instant lottery tickets, playing pool, searching for words, watching her favorite TV shows and playing countless games of Rummy 500. She didn’t like to lose! She loved spending time with her daughters (daughters), grandchildren and two puppies Yorkie, Tango and Oakley. Dolly loved seafood and bought new clothes. Dolly is predeceased by her daughter Susan Calderone of San Diego, California. She is survived by her daughters: Victoria Walling and her husband Joseph of Ellington, Christine Goldsnider of New Port Richey, FL, Laura Visone of Manchester, CT, Ann-Marie Katzer and his wife Kim, of Tolland, CT, her nephews: Kenny Smith and wife Laura of Wethersfield, Steven Smith and wife Claudia of Southington, CT, and her brother-in-law William Katzer of South Windsor. She is also survived by several grandchildren: Jeffrey Goldsnider and Alicia Brown, Thomas Fabrizio, Miles Calderone, Madelyn, Jacob and Joshua Katzer, John Walling and his wife Nicole, Ashley Hosig and her husband Gavin and 5 great grandchildren. : Nehimiah, Leeonna, Carlee, Everlee and Kira. She will forever be the wind under all our wings; incredibly missed still in our hearts with memories cherished forever. We love you Dolly! Heaven has a beautiful new angel. Calling hours are at Rose Hill Funeral Home, 580 Elm Street, Rocky Hill, CT on Monday, Jan. 3, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., and funeral services will be held privately the next day.
