Spotlight on Disney’s Adventure Route: Montana
Join us for a series highlighting various Adventures by Disney routes. First stop… Montana and Yellowstone National Park.
Explore this situated natural beauty with a rustic tour to Montana with Adventures by Disney. Your adventure begins with your hotel for the evening, The Lark in downtown Bozeman. After you settle in, enjoy a nighttime adventure at the Siebel Dinosaur Center where you can experience Big Al… No, not that one. This Big Al is one of the most complete allosaurs ever discovered. After enjoying all the prehistoric treasures, you will meet your family of adventurers during your welcome dinner at the Museum of the Rockies.
After breakfast on the second day, you’ll discover the spectacular limestone terraces of Mammoth Hot Springs on a private tour. After a picnic, you’ll also get a private tour of the Norris Geyser Basin. But the real highlight of day two is your new glamping home. Your tent might not have Wi-Fi or electricity, but you get the comfort with beds, linens, towels, rugs, safari chairs, battery-powered lanterns, two USB battery packs for charging electronic devices and a wood stove. To end the day, you can prepare and eat s’mores.
Day 3 allows you to explore more of Yellowstone, including the Fountain Paint Pot Trail and the Grand Prismatic Spring, which is the largest hot spring in the park. Of course, you must also visit the famous Old Faithful Geyser. Your day might also feature other experiences such as a West Yellowstone bike tour. Or maybe, visit the Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center.
After another night of glamping, you will join a private guided nature walk of the “Grand Canyon of Yellowstone”. But the highlight of the day will be after your lunch. Get in the saddle for a horseback ride and enjoy some of the best views in the country. You will then move to your hotel for the next three nights, at the Huntley Lodge.
Your first day at the Huntley Lodge begins with a hike to Ousel Falls. Enjoy spectacular views as you stroll the paved path among the beautiful Engelmann spruce trees. After lunch at the resort, you will have a few options. You can join the Adventure Zip Line which is 1,500 feet long and 150 feet above the ground. Or maybe you would choose the nature-themed zipline. For those who want to stay on earth, you can see three states and two national parks from the Lone Peak Streetcar.
The last full day includes both exciting and relaxing experiences. You will experience a whitewater rafting adventure on the Gallatin River where you can also appreciate the towering rock formations that surround you. You will then meet an expert fly fisherman for a fishing experience. The night will end with the farewell barbecue dinner where you and your adventure family will relive the wonders of Montana and Yellowstone.
As we resume the trip, Adventure Montana is a great option for those who want to try the Adventures by Disney vacation service and storytelling, but still want to stay close to home right now. Adventures by Disney also offers other North American adventures such as Wyoming, New England and Alaska.
